New England Patriots at Miami Dolphins NFL Betting Preview
The New England Patriots and the Miami Dolphins are part of a three-way tie with the New York Jets in the AFC East, with the Jets owning the advantage of having beaten each of these two teams. That makes this a crucial game already for each club, even this early in the season.
The NFL betting odds have this game set as a toss-up, as the betting spread is set at Pick with this game in Miami, with the betting ‘total’ set at 46½.

Cincinnati Bengals at New England Patriots: NFL Betting Preview
The Cincinnati Bengals will surprise this season, and it’s amazing how a team that actually won its division by going 6-0 against divisional foes a year ago and improved itself in the off season still remains under the radar.
Add in the fact that they potentially own the best secondary in the AFC and quite possibly the entire league, and those +875 NFL Futures on Cincinnati winning the AFC sure look tasty!
But first things first as they get a chance to make an immediate statement by going on the road to take on the New England Patriots in a nice Week 1 NFL Matchup.

New England Patriots 2010-2011 Season Preview
A Look Back – Last year was supposed to be the return to greatness for the New England Patriots. They were good enough to win all 16 regular season games two years before, and in spite of the fact that QB Tom Brady missed virtually the entire 2009 campaign, they were still capable of winning 11 games. Surely, they’d win the AFC East and make a deep run in the playoffs, right? Wrong. New England looked mortal last year, and though it won the AFC East, it wasn’t convincingly. Baltimore knocked it out of the playoffs in the first round with relative ease.

Randy Moss Fires Agent
Randy Moss fired his longtime agent Tim DiPiero. The change started speculation the Moss was planning on ditching the New England Patriots when his contract expires after this season, but that is not the case.
Moss fired his agent because he is looking for someone who can get him more sponsorship deals and other off-field business opportunities. The move is not likely to affect Moss’ play on the field.
The New England Patriots are among the top teams in the NFL again this season with the fifth best odds to win the Super Bowl at +1100.

Betting on Defensive Tackles at the 2010 NFL Draft
The NFL draft is rapidly approaching and which means it is time for NFL draft props. Draft props are a great way of putting your mock-draft abilities to the test.
The over/under on Defensive Tackles taken in Round 1 is 4.5 with the over paying +160 and the under just -180.
Ndamukong Suh and Gerald McCoy will almost certainly be gone in the top five, but the question is are there three more players talented enough to be worth a first-round picks and are there three teams who need Defensive Tackles badly enough to burn a first round selection on one of the remaining candidates.
Where will Julius Peppers end up?

Julius Peppers
One more day until we find out whether Julius Peppers goes for the money or he goes for the chance to win a championship.
He already has a boatload of money from his time with the Carolina Panthers, so he doesn’t need to pursue the highest-value contract. But, you can never have enough mansions.
If he wants to go for a Super Bowl, he’s going to have to accept less money since none of the teams that play in the sort of situation that he’s looking for can afford to spend what Peppers is asking for.
Buyers Market for Veteran Backs
It’s a buyers market for aging 30-something running backs with Jamal Lewis, LaDainian Tomlinson and Brian Westbrook all on the market.
It’s pretty common knowledge that running backs tend to wear down when they hit 30 and all three have had underwhelming years, but all three could contribute given the right situation.
They may not be every-down backs any more, but I could see either one of them catching out of the back-field with the occasional run in the right sort of offensive system.
The New England Patriots would be a good candidate to pick up one of these guys to support their offense.
New England Patriots Embarrassed – By Their Own “Fans”
There isn’t a team in the league that’s given their fans more to cheer about over the last 10 years than the Patriots. Three Super Bowls wins in four appearances, seven division titles, a 16-0 regular season, a record setting offense, the list goes on.
So how do those loyal Patriots fans respond? By booing their team in Sundays wildcard loss to the Ravens. The Ravens first play from scrimmage was an 83 yard touchdown run. The Patriots first series finished in a strip sack of Brady by Suggs, which led to another score for the Ravens.
