After a miserable two win season in 2009, the Vanderbilt Commodores will try to revive a football program that not too long ago was thought to be on the rise. An abysmal offense, thanks to one of the worst passing attacks in the country, doomed the team from the start.

The Commodores ranked 119th last year in passing efficiency. Quarterback Larry Smith, who played in only nine games last year due to a hamstring injury, completed only 47% of his passes and threw more interceptions than touchdowns. He needs to find a way to improve his game for Vandy to have a chance this year.
