Humanitarian Bowl Preview: Fresno State vs. Northern Illinois
The Northern Illinois Huskies enter this game with a 10-3 record after a heartbreaking loss to Miami (OH) in the MAC championship. They will be taking on the Fresno State Bulldogs who had a couple of good wins this season over Cincinnati and Illinois. The Huskies are a three point favorite in the Humanitarian Bowl lines.
The Northern Illinois Huskies boast a terrific offense, led by its 7th ranked rushing attack. Running back Chad Spann has been almost unstoppable this season, rushing for 1,293 yards and 20 touchdowns. Quarterback Chandler Harnish is the team’s second leading rusher with 764 yards and five scores. Harnish had decent numbers through the air as well, throwing for 2,230 yards, 20 touchdowns and five interceptions. Their running game is what carried them though.
