The top two rushing attacks, and two of the worst passing games, in the country square off in this year’s Independence Bowl. The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets (6-6) and Air Force Falcons (8-4) finished 1st and 2nd in the country, each gaining at least 317 yards on the ground per game.

Air Force had some close losses this season to top 20 teams Oklahoma and Utah, while Georgia Tech had a disappointing season. The Falcons are a three point favorite in the bowl game odds.

The Oklahoma Sooners defense has not had an easy start to their schedule. After facing multi-faceted Utah State, they took on pass happy Florida State. After winning both of those games, they play the top ranked rushing team in the country, the Air Force Falcons.

The Falcons are also off to a 2-0 start, beating rival BYU last week 35-14. The seventh ranked Sooners looked excellent in their last game, destroying the Seminoles 47-17. When the Falcons visit the Sooners this weekend, the college football odds have them as a 17 point underdog.
